Terms of service

These terms apply to every merchant account on Amelia X Payments. Please read them together with our privacy policy, payment processing disclosure and acceptable use rules below.

1. What Amelia X Payments is

Amelia X Payments is a payment orchestration platform. We provide software that lets you create payment links, run a hosted checkout, and manage transactions, refunds, webhooks and API access across third-party payment providers.

We are not a bank, card network, acquiring institution or licensed financial services provider. We do not hold, control or settle your funds. Money moves through the third-party provider connected to your account, under that provider's own agreement with you.

2. Your account

You must give accurate business and contact details and keep them current. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including actions taken with your API keys. Keep credentials secret and revoke any key you believe is compromised.

Merchant accounts start in a pending state. Access to live payment processing depends on the connected provider's approval of your business.

3. Payment processing disclosure

Each payment is processed by a third-party provider. Availability of payment methods depends on provider availability, your eligibility and approval, the completion of provider integration, provider terms and applicable law.

Settlement timing, provider fees and dispute rules are set by the provider, not by us. Provider fees may be deducted from the gross amount before settlement. Where a platform fee applies, it is shown on the transaction.

4. Sensitive payment data

We do not collect or store raw card numbers, CVV codes, PINs or other sensitive authentication data. Where card details are required, they are captured by the provider's hosted or tokenised fields.

5. Refunds and disputes

Refunds are requested against a transaction and are only marked complete once the provider confirms them. You remain responsible for your own customer refund policy and for resolving disputes with your customers.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the platform for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering, deceptive pricing, or any business prohibited by the connected provider. You may not attempt to bypass authentication, access another merchant's data, probe our systems, or misuse API access to overload the service.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules or that a provider declines to support.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but we provide it as-is and do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of a third-party provider.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the platform changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent through our support page.
